A Rapid City native, Erika received her J.D.
from the William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia, in
2000, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief and Symposium Editor of
the William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. She was
also the Historian for the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and received the
prestigious Dean's Certificate upon graduation. Erika's bachelor's
degree was completed with honors in 1993 at Saint Olaf College, in
Northfield, Minnesota. She also studied at the University of Haute
Bretagne in Rennes, France.
She is a member of the South Dakota Bar
Association and has served as chair of the Executive Committee of the State Bar Section of Real
Property, Probate and Trust. Prior to joining the Estes Campbell Law Firm, Erika worked as a
Financial Advisor for Piper Jaffray & Co. (now UBS Financial), where
she earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation
from the College of Financial Planning. Previously, Erika worked as a
trust officer for Commerce Bank of Kansas City, served as a law clerk to
Justice Gerald Schroeder of the Idaho Supreme Court, and was an
Associate at Holland and Hart, LLP in Boise, Idaho. During law school,
she also served as a Summer Associate for Dillingham & Murphy, LLP,
in San Francisco, California, and Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam &
Roberts (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) in Washington, D.C.
